OPEN Children’s Division – Rhythm & Groove    

Ages 3-12 Shorter classes Shorter terms

 Valley Academy for the Arts’ Open Division offers dance instruction in a variety of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. These classes provide an opportunity for your child to enjoy movement and exercise, to gain socialization skills and to learn how to dance.  With shorter class times and terms, these classes give your child a chance to gain beginning skills in areas of dance they may decide to pursue in greater depth as they grow older.  Ages 3-12, dance appreciation classes with basic instruction, technique and choreographed with routine and performance in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and Irish dance classes available.  For beginning students.

Academy Division Classes

The Academy program instills discipline & builds foundation through the systematic teachings of Vaganova, anatomy & kinesiology. Open to students ages 5-9, the academy program incorporates strength, confidence and progression. The fundamentals of ballet are introduced at an age appropriate level with emphasis on posture, body awareness and placement.

Conservatory Division

Placement by experience and ability, audition & invitation extended at the discretion of the Artistic Director. For intermediate and advanced dancers who demonstrate proficiency in classical ballet discipline and technique and who are committed to on-going personal and professional development. Students will attend multiple classes per week with participation in VAA student council, community outreach programs & performances.

Vision Dance Theatre         

Valley Academy for the Arts’ pre-Professional Dance Company. Placement is by experience and ability, audition & invitation extended at the discretion of the Artistic Director. For intermediate and advanced dancers who demonstrate proficiency in classical ballet discipline and technique and who are committed to on-going personal and professional development. Students will attend multiple classes per week with participation in VAA student council, community outreach programs & performances.

Adult Classes

Beginning - Advanced ballet instructions, barre exercise, etc.

Please note that online registration only lists the monthly tuition for Academy and Conservatory Divisions and the per-term tuition for Open Division classes. Additional fees are required for all divisions.
