August 2025 Dance Camps for Young Students
Ages 4–9
Location: Valley Academy for the Arts – Neenah, Wisconsin
Valley Academy for the Arts is pleased to offer Discovery Days, a series of three-day summer dance programs designed specifically for young students interested in exploring dance in a creative, supportive, and age-appropriate environment. Discovery Days introduces participants to foundational movement skills, musicality, storytelling, and creative expression across a range of dance styles.
Each session of Discovery Days features a unique theme and culminates in a short, informal performance for family and friends. Dancers will engage in movement classes, guided improvisation, creative projects, and hands-on activities such as costume and set design.

Session One: Swan Lake Ballet Camp
Dates: August 5–7, 2025
Time: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
This session introduces young dancers to the classical ballet Swan Lake. Students will learn beginner ballet technique, explore the narrative and characters of Swan Lake, and participate in creating their own short performance based on the ballet. In addition to dance instruction, students will design simple costumes and scenic elements that reflect the story’s magical themes.

Creative activities include crafting costume elements and visual backdrops.
